Where and why use a shovel for motoblock

The blade tool is a unit that engages with a walk-behind tractor and is designed for easy removal of snow and debris, for leveling irregularities and for transferring small amounts of land from one place to another.

A shovel can be used as a part of equipment for the needs of a business facility or for work in the yard. The shovel blade greatly facilitates the cleaning process due to the larger area of the working surface.

Types of dumps

Types of dumps: a - straight; b - swivel; in - spherical; g - sovkovy; d - with lateral loosening teeth; e - short pushing; 1 - front sheet; 2 - side plates; 3 - side knives; 4 - wing; 5 - middle knives; 6 - corner knives; 7 - retractable teeth

The system consists of three main parts:

  • shovel;
  • fixture knot;
  • Device for adjusting the angles of rotation of the shovel.

The shovel to the motor-block has different modifications with characteristic common features for all models. This is usually the principle of operation and the device itself. The unit has the ability to work in several typical working positions:

  • forward;
  • to the left (with a gradient of 30º);
  • to the right (with a gradient of 30º).

Before starting work, you need to independently select an angle of 30º to the right or left, necessary to complete the task, and fix the blade of the motoblock in this position with a cotter pin (in the factory model) and with the help of a L-shaped attachment in the motoblock with your own hands.

Today, this device is not a luxury, but quite a common technique for the economic needs of the population, with which you can accomplish a number of tasks on arranging and putting in order private plots.

How to make a do-it-yourself blade

The scheme of manufacturing a shovel blade for motoblock

So, you already have a walker. To save money, time and nerves, you can make a spade to it yourself. For this purpose, a ladle of an old shovel, an unnecessary sheet of iron, an old tin barrel, etc. are useful. How to make a shovel? Consider the detailed instructions for making the blade motoblock do it yourself.

First you need to collect the necessary materials and tools for the manufacture of the motoblock dump at home:

  1. Sheets of tin. Thickness 2-3 mm, dimensions 850x220x450 mm - 2 pcs. (or a 200 liter tin barrel).
  2. Rack.
  3. Stiffeners - 4 pcs. 3-4 mm thick.
  4. Knife.
  5. Tin strip, 5 mm thick, length - blade grab (approximate dimensions: 3x100x850 mm).
  6. Thrust lugs - 2 pcs.
  7. Bolts M10, M12 and M8.
  8. Nuts, washers.
  9. Square tube 40x40 - 1 m.
  10. Rods with a length of 520 mm - 2 pcs.
  11. Drills (5-6 and 8-10 mm).
  12. Rubber sheet.
  13. A small sheet of thick steel.
  14. Bulgarian with blades for steel.
  15. Welding machine.
  16. Electric drill or punch.

Once the entire set of tools and parts has been assembled, you can proceed to the manufacture and assembly of the blade with your own hands. Making a ladle from an old steel barrel will be simpler, since it already has roundness suitable for a heap. You do not have to heat and bend even sheets of tin to make them look like a bucket. As already mentioned, you will need a 200-liter barrel, which must be cut into three parts. Two of them need to be welded together with a welding machine along the contour, this will provide rigidity to the product.

Now, to strengthen the design, it is necessary to make a knife for the bottom of the blade. The product will require a tin strip with dimensions of 3x100x850 mm. Three holes 5–6 mm in diameter with a pitch of 10–12 cm are drilled using a perforator or electric drill and drill bits in the knife. This is necessary to strengthen the protective rubber gasket. The knife is attached to the bottom of the bucket with bolts.

Next is the manufacture and installation of the mount. We cut off a part of the square tube and weld it to the construction of two barrel elements at a distance equal to the middle of the height of the product. In the middle of this tube we weld a small semicircle from a sufficiently thick sheet of tin and drill through it three holes for fasteners and fixing turns at the blade of the machine.

After that, it will be necessary to take the same square tube and make an L-shaped holder out of it. One end of such a holder is inserted into the hole in this semicircle, and the other is fastened to the frame of the motoblock with the help of bolts and nuts. In adjusting the height of the bucket lift help two bolts that are screwed into the grooves in a square tube, welded to the hitch and worn on the L-shaped holder of the same pipe.

Shovel to the bucket for the blade mechanism

The dimensions needed to make a shovel, 850x220x450 mm. It is made from sheet steel with a thickness of 2-3 mm. The ribs for stiffness or rack elements are made of tin sheet 3-4 mm thick and are located inside the product.

In the racks we drill holes for the hitch of the blade (with rods). We make it in such a way that the shovel for the blade takes up a vertical position relative to the motor-block itself.

The hitch arm of the blade and the motoblock are mounted on the paws of the machine.

They are also attached to the base of the front folding support. To make fastening, bolts М10-М12 are applied. After that, the brackets with a length of 520 mm, which in turn are connected to the shovel posts, are attached to the brackets with the help of M8 bolts and nuts.

The whole structure is additionally fixed with a walking block with the help of two adjusting rods. When the blade is in a non-working position, the rods allow for unloading of the brackets. The bottom of the bucket is sheathed with a sheet of steel to avoid digging into the ground. It is possible to reduce the size of the bucket at your discretion. Adhering to the above recommendations and instructions on how to make a blade with your own hands, as well as observing precautions and trying to experiment with the dimensions of the product, you will achieve considerable success in improving your site and in facilitating the work on it.
