In those cases where the acquisition of expensive powerful professional tools can not afford or is not rational from a financial point of view, you can try to convert the household screwdriver into a drill.
Since changing the operating parameters of torque and the number of revolutions is very problematic and most often does not justify itself, the alteration in most cases comes down to a change in the way of feeding. That is, replacing batteries with a stationary power supply.
The task of connecting to the network will be reduced to the conversion of 220V to 12V or 24V.
It will successfully handle the power supply from a computer or laptop with the appropriate parameters.
Types of drills.
The power supply unit is connected to a household electrical outlet with a standard cable. Over the connection of the screwdriver and power supply will have to work a little bit with a soldering iron.
To begin with, the battery is removed from the screwdriver. Then an IDE ATA Molex power connector is attached to the case. There is a wiring that connects the pins of the connector to the pins to which the power supply was previously connected.

- “Crocodiles” - for connection to the terminals of a powerful battery;
- adapter for connection to the automotive power system.
With all the variety of ways to use a screwdriver as a drill, you should always remember that the drilling function in it is just an auxiliary function. No matter how great the temptation is to use the resulting conversion as a full-fledged drill or, especially, a perforator, this is not worth it.
