Most of those who plan to repair, are not interested in how many cubes in the concrete mixer, ordered for production. However, this moment can be called the key! Correctly chosen concrete mixer will significantly save the time of work, as well as eliminate unnecessary costs.

Properly selected cement mixer

Correctly chosen concrete mixer will significantly save time and financial costs for construction.

Varieties of modern concrete mixers

All concrete mixers offered today by the manufacturer have a wide enough range of volumes in order for this device to be applicable for both large-scale construction and small construction.

Among the most common options include such as:

  1. Small concrete mixer

Small concrete mixer is used to create a homogeneous concrete mix on private construction sites.

Concrete mixer with a capacity of 2 cubes. This option does not imply the presence of the engine and is supplied mainly for private construction projects. Concrete in the tank will have to be stirred independently, with the help of a shovel and by means of rotational movements of the tank. Most builders refuse this device by mixing concrete in an ordinary pelvis. Concrete mixer also allows you to get a more homogeneous mixture, which will be dispensed metered, using a special nozzle.

  2. A device that holds 5 cubes of concrete. In such a concrete mixer is already assumed the presence of an electric motor, through which the built-in blades work. It is possible to mix not only concrete, but also a number of different mixes used for construction. An hour after loading, you can get the mixture ready for use. It will be practically impossible to mix it up to a similar consistency.
  3. Concrete mixers with a capacity of 10 to 15 m³. This mechanism is used exclusively for industrial purposes, where concrete solution is constantly required. The mixing process begins immediately after loading the components, even before arriving at the construction site. This is done in order to ensure uninterrupted supply of the solution and to avoid its freezing inside the machine.

It should also be noted that all units, with the exception of the latter, are equipped with wheels for mobility and convenient transportation.

Industrial concrete mixers are attached exclusively as a car body. These models are considered the most popular, but there are other less common options on the construction market. If necessary, you can find concrete mixers with a volume of 3, 7 and 9 cubes, but, as experience shows, they are completely impractical and therefore rarely used.

Why use a concrete mixer?

Industrial Concrete Mixer

Industrial concrete mixer is a trailer to the car and is used on large objects where you need a constant supply of cement.

It is not a secret for anybody that the final result of the started construction depends on how well the concrete is prepared. At the initial stage, when sand and cement are mixed in a dry form, it is quite possible to do without a concrete mixer, using an ordinary trough. However, in the future, crushed stone and water will be added to this mixture, making a homogeneous mass of them will be quite problematic.

Concrete mixers will do an excellent job with this task, during which the builder will be able to do some other work. At the same time, the amount of added water should also be carefully regulated so that the solution does not turn out to be too liquid. Even prolonged languor in a concrete mixer will not save from this incident. The solution will have to be redone and reloaded into the tank.

Difficulties that only a professional tool can cope with are also reflected in the factional nature of materials. Each density class has its own drum, in which the most efficient mixing will take place. In some cases, it is necessary to mix radically different structures that should acquire uniformity. It is difficult to do this on your own, because when mixing concrete cubes in a concrete mixer, a constant mechanical action is used, grinding particles into dust.

At the same time, the concrete mixer does not have to be acquired for permanent personal use. It is quite possible to rent it from any construction company or contractor. The most important thing is to correctly calculate how many cubes of concrete to choose a machine. A small unit can slow down production too much, while a large unit, on the contrary, will require additional costs, because the raw material will simply spread across the tank.
