At the top of the screw you need to make a cut to fix the holder. When using this element from a projectile of a sporting plan, such a hole is in ready-made form, you only need to slightly increase it with a file of a rounded shape. The use of a bolt made in-house gives rise to the construction of such an opening with a drill with a calibration corresponding to 8-9 mm. The handle can serve as an iron pin with a length of 10 cm. For its reliable fixation, it is necessary to make openings of 5 mm along the edge, cut the threads and screw in screws M5, their length is 3.5-4 cm.
After that, the vice machine must be equipped with studs in the amount of 2 pieces. In this case, the fixing elements are taken from the scooter mirrors. Most often they have a slightly curved shape, which can be fixed with a hammer or a small sledge hammer. The studs allow the moving sponge to be moved. They can be made independently of steel bar with a transverse position of 8-10 mm. The hacksaw cuts off small elements from this iron pin. The edges must be filed.
A sponge is used to hold machine parts in the devices in question. They can be made of wood, provided that as an example of fixing parts will be used items that are missing any of the metals. Such material can serve as pine boards, their height is 40-50 mm. They are required for the manufacture of immovable sponge, it is immediately fixed to the surface of the table. Of course, this is done in the event that the structure will not be moved to another place. To build a movable element, take a birch plank with a length of 50 cm and a height of 18-22 cm.
Then the holes are drilled with a feather drill for the bolt, the studs allow the use of an ordinary drill, the tip diameter is 10 mm. Then the construction is made: the studs and the lead screw are fixed in the holes made, the washers and nuts are put in the right places.
