Working tools should be stored in proper conditions so that they are not lost and do not fail. For the valuable storage of small keys, screwdrivers, fasteners and other items you can make convenient boxes where each item will be in its place. It is easy to make an organizer box; any available material is suitable for this - thick cardboard, leatherette, plywood, boards.

Cardboard boxes

You can make a convenient organizer for tools from a regular cardboard box of medium size. The box must be chosen from thick cardboard with a corrugated layer, since such material is more durable. If only thin cardboard is available, 2, 3 or 4 layers should be glued together, depending on the weight of the tools for which the box is being prepared.

In the process of work, it will additionally be required:

  • ruler, better transparent;
  • stationery knife;
  • scissors;
  • pencil;
  • glue gun;
  • Scotch;
  • material for decor.

First, they make the markings for the organizer base: they take a rectangular sheet of cardboard 30x40 cm, retreat from the edge of 5 cm and use a ruler to draw straight lines parallel to the sides of the sheet. The lines should cross the board all the way from edge to edge. Then along the lines of cardboard must be bent, cutting into corners. The billet is easily folded into a box of shallow depth.

The corners are connected with a glue gun, and the product is wrapped with tape around the perimeter for greater strength. Now it is necessary to make 3 more boxes with a width of 10, and a length of 20 cm. The height of the box should differ by at least 10 cm.

They are folded and fastened in the same way as the base. Finished boxes are pasted over with bright or white paper, and then the organizer is assembled from them: the highest box is inserted into the base box first, then the middle one, and then the lowest one at the end.

Each of them should go very tightly; so that the product does not crumble, the walls of the boxes must be coated with glue. It is possible to paste over the organizer with oilcloth or decorative film from above, then the surface can be easily cleaned of dirt. This craft is suitable for small tools with low weight, but if the tools are heavy enough, you can do the same out of thin plywood or fiberboard, having increased the dimensions several times.

It is very convenient when tools take up little space and are always visible. The best option for their placement is a wall organizer. You can make it from scrap materials, time for production takes very little. Product sizes are selected depending on the number of tools, and the manufacturing process is very simple. For work you will need:

  • a piece of cloth of high density or durable leatherette;
  • scissors;
  • pencil;
  • thread, needle;
  • wide tight elastic band or braid.

The canvas is laid out on the table and leveled. To avoid material shifts during layout, you can attach edges with buttons. On the canvas lay out the tools and encircle with a pencil or pen. After that, along the markings they sew pieces of tape, which will hold the tools in limbo.

The tape is sewn in the form of neat eyelets; edges must be bent to avoid fraying.

In conclusion, the canvas is removed from the table, the edges are sheathed with the same braid and attached to the back side of the loop (Fig. 2). To prevent the homemade organizer from dropping, you can bend the upper edge of the canvas 3 cm and sew and then insert a thin wooden piece of wood inside. In this case, the fixture will be mounted on the wall with screws. You can create a practical and inexpensive organizer from cut plastic bottles, securing them on a plywood stand or particle board, then you can place heavier items in it. In order for the tool box to last as long as possible, the cells must not be packed very tightly. Each item must have its own section; Sharp tools have handles down to avoid damaging the organizer. For small parts, it is better to create shallow sections where everything will be visible. The organizer created by your own hands will greatly simplify the work and save you from a long search for the right tool.
