What is a miracle shovel?
Manufacturers offer several options for such mechanisms, differing in size, design and material of manufacture. They cost dearly, therefore in the presence of certain labor skills and the scheme of assembly of the device it is quite possible to do without extra expenses. Miracle shovel is of three types: "Plowman", "Mole" and the usual. Self-creation is better to start with the simplest option.
Before you start preparing the right tool and material, you need to think about exactly what size a spade will be needed and for what purposes it will be used.

The size of the bayonet, on which it will enter the ground, depends on the depth of soil freezing. If the shovel will be used for loosening the soil, a size of 10 cm is sufficient. When planting vegetable crops, a deeper digging is required, therefore, the teeth should enter the layer of frozen soil at least 5 cm.
The width depends on the intended land grab area, but it is not recommended to exceed a size of 50 cm, otherwise it will take too much effort to work. - rebar or doped flat-rolled products with a width of 2 cm and a section of about 0.5 cm;

The process of making miracle shovels
First of all, they make bayonets, for this the reinforcement is cut into pieces of the required length. Their ends are sharpened on one side at an angle of 30 °. If the soil is soft, the bevel angle can be reduced to 15 °, but it should be noted that this will lead to frequent blunting of the cutting part. Then cut off a portion of the square tube for the support bar and prepare a round hollow tube for the handle. Elements are welded according to the drawing (scheme 1).
The stop bar is arched in the shape of an arc and mounted to the side frames of the supporting structure. After that, all parts are welded together, and the places of movable joints are bolted and nuts, after having drilled holes of the desired diameter.
