How to make a cutter for motoblock with your own hands

Mill for motoblock do it yourself without any special expenses and efforts. This component is available in almost all factory kits. But, when it is necessary to increase the width or depth of tillage, it is possible to assemble and install additional elements. Such an upgrade will improve the productivity of motor-cultivators and speed up the process of working with the soil.

Motoblock

Motoblock necessary for agricultural work: plowing, cultivation, hilling, harvesting.

Motoblock - an indispensable tool when working with the land and the cultivation of the soil. This machine is the front of a reduced-sized tractor with plow arms. It has two wheels and an internal combustion engine. On the handles most often all the necessary buttons and control switches are located.

Kinds of mills for the motor-block

Cutters for motoblock actively used to work with the soil. With their help:

  • destroy weeds;
  • crumble the soil;
  • mix layers of soil;
  • level the surface of the field;
  • wrap fertilizer.
Saber cutter

The saber cutter, due to the shape of its blades, is capable of performing almost all the work.

This tool has a high productivity in the processing of wet, clay and stiffened soil. The milling cutter is used to improve meadows and pastures.

Cutters are found in several varieties, but the most common are two of them:

  • with saber knives;
  • “Crow's feet”;

The first option can be called a standard, it is most popular with farmers and is able to fulfill almost all the goals. The main advantage is the shape of the blades. Cutters of this type, made of steel, collapsible, because this material is not amenable to welding.

“Goose feet” is a relatively new model on the market. It is actively used for the treatment of solid soil types. These models are solid and non-separable, which has a positive effect on their strength. The disadvantage of this species is that weeds are wound on the blades. Therefore, it is better to plow it on clean ground. “Goose feet” are used for plowing the soil before planting potatoes, especially if the soil has hard lumps. It is also used for pre-winter work on the land plot in order to prevent Colorado beetles and other pests.

Tips for making cutters

Drawing cutters

Drawing cutters.

The mill which will be established on the motor-block represents a detail with a simple design. Before you begin assembly, you need to familiarize yourself with existing cutters. This will allow to take into account the design features of a particular type of instrument.

Suitable drawing can be found in thematic publications. After the model of the future milling cutter is selected, it is necessary to prepare all the materials that will be required during assembly. If the design contains curly parts, it is better to order them from the master or forge with your own hands in the presence of forging equipment. The remaining parts can be made independently or purchased in the store.

When assembling the cutter for the motoblock, special attention should be paid to correct assembly. It is necessary to avoid possible deviations in the assembly of the structure. The consequence of inattentive assembly may be a violation of the axis of the motor-block: it will pull in one direction or another.

When installing the cutter on the walker, it is important not to confuse the direction of rotation of the teeth.

Experts advise to make elements with a diameter of not more than 500 mm. These restrictions are caused by the fact that the tool with the specified parameters is able to enter the soil by 260 mm. It is possible to capture about one meter of soil at a time.

The saber cutter is safer and reduces the risk of injury to the operator if it falls onto the instrument. Due to the alternate positioning of the knives, they enter the ground consistently, without strikes and jerks.

To make homemade cutters last a long time, you need to follow the rules of operation. When starting the tiller, they should be above the ground surface. After that, it is necessary to start the revolutions, slowly lower the blades into the soil and proceed to tillage.

Assembly scheme for the motoblock milling cutter

The assembly scheme for the motoblock milling cutter.

Self-assembly allows you to adjust the width of the plot under the features of the land. To make a simple cutter for a walker, you will need:

  • metal tube of small size in diameter not exceeding 42 mm;
  • parts that can be used to dig up the ground;
  • welding machine;
  • Bulgarian.

As plowing parts, you can use unnecessary springs from the car or residues from any other equipment that are suitable for the requirements. The blades of the future cutter need to fit in size and bend in one direction. Then, using a welding machine, attach them to the pipe from different sides. If desired, the blades can be sharpened in the direction of their intended movement. The finished structure should be attached to the motoblock to the hitch. The design is ready to use. When an irregularity in the operation of the apparatus is detected, it can be removed and adjusted.

Self-assembly of the milling cutter on the walking tractor requires some effort and time, but the result of the work will not take long. Only on your own you can make a cutter that will best meet your requirements and correspond to the characteristics of the land and soil.
